Copper is the honest example.
Half of what an energy buyer orders is current-carrying, and copper is not in our fixed material library. Brass 360 is. Copper is not.
A busbar is therefore a Sourcing part today, and the DFM will tell you that in exactly those words rather than quietly pricing stock we cannot buy on the ladder. The library grows by subtraction-tested addition — an alloy enters only with proven feeds and speeds, real stock supply, and at least one committed recurring buyer behind it.
No welding, and no code stamp
We machine; we do not fabricate. Weldments, cabinets, and welded frames are Sourcing work, brokered through vetted shops with a committed date. We hold no ASME code stamp, and pressure-boundary components that require one are outside what we take responsibility for in either lane. That will be stated to you on the quote, not discovered at receiving inspection.
Domestic origin, claimed accurately
The accurate claim is qualified: machined in the USA by the shop named on your paperwork, engineered by Praetore. Where a program needs an unqualified “Made in USA” claim, that is a per-product analysis against the FTC's all-or-virtually-all standard, including where the stock came from. We will run that analysis rather than assert the claim and hope nobody checks.
A worn sample and no model is a Sourcing job
Digitizing a worn part and reconstructing what the designer intended — which dimension was the fit, which was the clearance, and how much of the wear to ignore — is engineering judgment. It does not price itself in minutes, so it doesn't pretend to. Human review, a real timeline, and an honest yes or no.
Nothing here is a certification claim
We do not hold ISO 9001, IEEE or IEC product certifications, or any utility's approved-supplier status. Praetore is the manufacturer of record with a documented central quality system; certifying that system is sequenced, and each certificate appears on this site only once a registrar has issued it.
You will know which shop cut your part.
A marketplace sends your model to whoever bid lowest and hands you a packing slip. We are the manufacturer of record — Praetore owns the engineering, the quality system, the schedule, and the guarantee, and the network owns the machines. That distinction is invisible until something goes wrong, and then it is the only thing that matters.
Every part traces to exactly one packet revision, one shop, one machine, and one material lot. When an apparatus failure sends you looking for what else came out of that lot, one query answers it.

Every Sourcing job is logged with the feature class that put it there — the alloy, the process, the size. That log is the envelope-expansion roadmap and the only input that moves it. A class graduates into the Catalog when it exceeds five percent of inbound demand for two consecutive quarters and the verification method for it exists.
So if the reason you cannot buy domestic apparatus spares quickly is a material we don't stock, the useful thing you can do is upload the part and let it count.
