Two doors, and a person behind the third.

Most of what people email us about is faster through one of the two doors below — a part gets priced before we could have finished typing a reply, and a shop application takes about five minutes. Everything else reaches hello@praetore.com, which is read by someone who can actually answer. We aim to reply within one business day — a target we hold ourselves to, not a measured average.

  I NEED PARTS

Don't email a request. Upload the part.

In-envelope work is priced and dated automatically as the Catalog lane opens, with the date backed by money. Everything else routes to a human today — not a rejection, a different lane, with a stated response time and an honest committed date.

Upload a Part

Want to see what lands in which lane first? The envelope is published as a spec sheet.

  I RUN A SHOP

We send you the job, not the RFQ.

The application asks about your machines, controllers, vises, probing, and an honest current backlog. A real person reads every one, and the first thing we send back is a conversation rather than an RFQ.

Apply as a Shop

No hardware purchase, no fees, ever. What the standard actually asks of you.

Defense and the industrial base

Program offices, primes, and policy teams working on sustainment, DMSMS, or surge capacity. Tell us the part class and the volume you would need warm, and we will tell you honestly whether it is inside our envelope today or in the Sourcing lane.

Supplier quality and procurement

Send the questionnaire as it is written. We answer it including the questions where the answer is no — our certification status is published in full rather than negotiated one email at a time.

Press and the Lead Time Index

The Domestic Machining Lead Time Index publishes from anonymized delivery data: quoted against delivered lead times by part class. Ask to be on the list and the methodology comes attached.

hello@praetore.comThe Ledger

Four lines that turn one email into one answer.

Nothing here is a requirement. It is just the shortest path between your question and a real number, and it saves the round trip where we ask you what the tightest tolerance is and you wait a day for us to ask it.

  • 01Material and quantity. “Aluminum, 40 pieces” answers more than three paragraphs of context.
  • 02Overall dimensions and the tightest tolerance on the print — those two decide the lane in about ten seconds.
  • 03The date you actually need it, not the date you think is polite to ask for.
  • 04A STEP file if you have one. A PDF print if you do not. A photograph of a broken part is a legitimate starting point and we have started from worse.

Opening a vendor record

Praetore is operated by Rebilder LLC. Ask and the same day we will send the supplier packet a procurement system actually needs: legal name and state of formation, registered address and remit-to, a signed W-9, banking details through your own portal rather than by email, and a certificate of insurance once coverage binds — the status of which is stated plainly on the quality page.

There is no switchboard and no published phone number. Email reaches a person faster than a phone tree would, and once we are working together you will have a direct line rather than a queue. If your process requires a phone number on file before you can create the vendor, say so and we will give you one.

One business day is a target we hold ourselves to, not a measured average — the same rule applies to it as to every other number on this site. The measured distribution publishes on The Ledger with the tail included.

Praetore is early and says so everywhere on this site rather than in a footnote. If you want to know how early, and who is behind it before you send anything, the About page is the short version and Vision is the long one.
