Diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages — DMSMS — is what happens when the original supplier is gone, the drawing package is forty years old, and the platform still flies, sails, or rolls. Strip away the paperwork and most of what remains is a machining problem.
We machine domestically, route ITAR-flagged work only to registered shops, and document every job the same way whether you asked for it or not. What we do not hold is on this page too, in the same size type.

Obsolescence is a coordination cost wearing a machining costume.
A sustainment buyer with a discontinued bracket does not have a metal-removal problem. Cutting the bracket takes hours. Finding a shop that will quote a quantity of eleven, waiting out the quote, getting it programmed, getting a fixture designed, arguing about first article, and chasing the certs — that is where the calendar goes.
Across the industry, a typical low-volume order runs roughly two days of machining inside roughly twenty-five days of everything around the cut. That ratio is the problem statement, not a measurement of our performance. The response is structural: the engineering is done once, centrally, and released as a complete packet, so the shop that runs your bracket never quotes it, programs it, or designs a fixture for it.
Which means quantity eleven is not an insult to anybody's scheduler. Low volume is what the model is for.
Sustainment work, sorted by lane.
Read the rule at the left of each row. A solid object line prices instantly. A dash-dot phantom line is inside the envelope but pauses for an engineer, inside four business hours. Registered shops only, and every access is logged.
ITAR eligibility is a qualification tier inside the network, not a checkbox on an order form. A shop reaches it by having its registration verified, its facility and data handling reviewed, and its segregated-access training completed — before it ever sees a flagged packet.
On the data side, packets are delivered through the shop portal only. Never an email attachment, on any job, for any customer.

Routing
Only registered shops are visible to the router for a flagged packet. There is no manual override that puts your data somewhere else because a schedule got tight.
Storage
Segregated storage, encrypted at rest, watermarked per shop so any leaked page identifies its source.
Access
Least-access by default, logged, and revoked on job completion after a defined retention window.
Batching
ITAR segregation blocks batching, so a flagged job prices as a solo run. Batching is where a real share of the price advantage comes from — that is the honest cost of the segregation, stated up front rather than discovered on the invoice.

Sequenced, not skipped. ISO 9001 for Praetore central is the next formalization step; AS9100 follows it for this vertical. Until a registrar issues each one, it stays in the right-hand column.

Peacetime economics, wartime capacity.
Everything in this section describes what the network is built to become. It is an argument, not a capability we are selling, and not a contract we hold.
The Department of Defense's National Defense Industrial Strategy names supply-chain resilience and surge capacity as priorities for the industrial base. What follows is our argument about that problem, not the strategy's conclusion and not a program we are part of.
Capacity that exists only for emergencies decays, because nobody pays to maintain it. Capacity that pays for itself on commercial work stays staffed, tooled, and sharp. That is the whole argument for organizing surge capability around a network that is busy the rest of the time. The structural precedent is the Civil Reserve Air Fleet, established in 1951, in which commercial carriers commit aircraft to the government by contract and are paid for it with peacetime business rather than with a hangar of idle airframes.
A second property comes free. The defense industrial base is opaque below its top tiers, and a network that qualifies shops, records their machines and controllers, and measures what they deliver on every job is, as a byproduct, a live map of what American shops can actually make. Our contention — and it is a contention, not a finding — is that the binding constraint in a surge is not spindles. It is locating them, qualifying them, and contracting them, which is precisely the work a network does continuously in peacetime.
None of that is what we are selling today. Today we are selling a machined spare, on a date, with the paperwork — and that is the only thing on this page you should plan around.
